  • this is a great piece. thank you for uploading!!!!

  • @C2209w A. This is an offertory motet. B. I agree with you, although I don't mind an occasional (monthly?) polyphonic Mass. C. The Missa de Angelis is one of the more difficult Gregorian Mass settings, not to mention of comparatively late origin and way overdone. Try Missa Orbis Factor. It is lovely, somewhat simpler than Missa de Angelis, and can be learned by a choir in a couple weeks and by a congregation in probably 6-8 weeks if used every Sunday.

  • I went to the Latin Mass service at 11 am every Sunday at the Brompton Oratory in London from November 2006 to April 2008 just to take it all in.

  • I went to the Latin Mass service at 11 am ever Sunday from October 2007 to April 2008 just to take it all in.

  • @molealto

Paul, you're almost as polyphony-nerdy as me, do you know that?

  • @quiretenor

Still at the "Orifice" then Simon? And has Gerard come up with a better nickname for Paddy than he did with "The Fat Controller" for his predecessor?

  • @molealto Yes indeed - we don't often do men's voice scorings unless the piece suit it. Thanks your kind comment!

  • @aussiechi Thank you fellow Aussie! Your comments are much appreciated!

  • @quiretenor Lovely effort. Sounds like you did it ATBarB, in "G minor", right?

  • i was in the high mass at 10. am at the beginning of january 2010. it was full up and the choir is fantastic !. brompton oratory ia really holy and solemn place to pray and the liturgy and choir are the best in england.
