  • No mention of IT in the epic category????Yet you say Needful Things is an epic?????Oh well; to each his own, I guess, right?

  • @cmarshall497 I, unfortunately, haven't read It yet. I plan on correcting that as soon as I get the chance. Needful Things is epic in its scope.

  • I just finished it a couple of weeks ago and thought it was great! It was a page turner. I saw it as an allegory for the Bush administration if they were put in charge of a small town. Notice the second selectman was the one really in charge making the decisions while the first selectman was the one he used to be a buffer for his own incompetence. I also loved the weird religious overtones.

  • Hm... this was the first book of Stephen King i read, i'm not from a country where the main language isn't English, and i'm 13 years old, but i'm pretty good with english and LOVE to read books. I heard Stephen King was a good storyteller, but the first 100 pages or so it was just people dying and killing eachother. I just didn't understand why some deaths were neccesairy(?), and i don't know why all the sexual violence had to be in there. Im starting to doubt if he is really such a good author.

  • SHUT UP!!! IT'S THE BEST STEPHEN KING BOOK EVER!!!

  • Best...Stephen...King...Book...Ever!!!!

  • @georgeson4 nope, sad, right?

  • @monstercourtney if u haven't, do so now

  • I don't think the book is worthy of "classic King" praise, but I thought it was a very good book with an interesting ending that really gives you something to think about.
