I have reusable molds but when I get large orders I need more molds. Also helpful when all your molds are in use and you want to make another batch of soap. Also good for new soapers who want to minimize initial cost. Sometimes I can use the same box up to 3 times but only do so if the box is still sturdy.

  • Thank you so much for the reply. Please I was also wondering on average how long do you cure your soaps for.Thank you.

  • @SpokenWordFan

That depends on how I make them. Hot process or CPOP I cure out for a week or two. If the cold process gels completely I let it cure for 3-4 weeks. If it does not gel then 1 month to 6 months, depends. Also depends on if I water discount or not and what oils I used.

  • Can u use garbage bags instead of wax paper, thank you.

  • @SpokenWordFan

Yes, you absolutely can. I do that, too. The garbage bags will make the sides have more crinkles but if you don't mind, do it. It's really easy, too.I put a trash can liner in and anchor it down with tape then use the box folds for a lid. I make 10 and 20lb batches that way.

  • I think I show this is my other video titled "How To Make Soap. Step by Step Cold Process Goat Milk Soap with Shea Butter"

  • thanks for sharing! how does the wax paper hold up? i thought it had to be freezer paper.

  • @oceanstar09

it works well for me. Sometimes some liquids absorb into the cardboard. The wax paper peels right off the soap with no problems. Parchment will not work for this because tape does not stick to it well. Let me know how it goes if you try with freezer paper. Should be just fine since it has plastic coating.
