Per Gessle's band he was in before Roxette, formed back in 1977. GT still do the occasional reunions, last time was in 2004 though. Swedish version of this song was a big hit in Sweden and Norway back in 1980-81.

nice to hear some of Per's work before he and Marie F. hit it big. i don't think this is where i can see his career taking off, but better things were waiting around the corner hehe. thnx for look back, Elin !

@DrSheerFolly Yeah this has to be the worst lyrics he has ever written, the Swedish is alot better and more clever. Gyllene Tider has recorded some of the most popular summer anthems in Swedish pop history, but they wouldn't work in English :)

@Mrroydoncrossing haha yeah this English version has to be his worst composition ever! But the Swedish is alot better, these lyrics are so bad compared to them. This is the 4th time I'm upping this tune, it's just a piece of history ;)

with relatives in Sweden, Elin, i know how frustrating some Swedish-English translations and interpretations can be lol. i pretty much give up and we try to use English on both sides. :D.
