tonight "Kurt" sang this on GLEE. It was truly the most beautiful song I've ever heard him sing. Chris Colfer was magnificent. He blew everyone away. Gave me the chills. So moving. Way to go GLEE giving this song to Chris. You should be very proud Chris. Love Barbra's version - she knows how to take a song and make it hers.

Barbra Streisand is a musical phenomenon, and she really is once a century, if that.

That said, Chris Colfer took this song and OWNED it, and I think La Streisand would be proud of him.

@disneylover797 but dont you think its a good thing tht glee is bringing light to great people who would have been lost in most of the pop crap of today and im ashamed to say this but without glee i would have no idea who babra streissand is and now i go online researching finding more stuff and not waiting till the next glee episode to discover something wonderful but always grateful because it lead me there

I'm not bitter that Glee made this song popular or anything and I know this is a touchy subject for some people, but it is sort of depressing that people don't know who Barbara Streisand is. I saw her first as a little girl when she was Dolly in Hello Dolly! and I've become more and more exposed to her talent over the years since then. :) She's one of those rare artists who has a secret sense of what a song really means.

What a WONDERFUL tribute to the great Gloria Swanson! A great actress, humanitarian and visul artist. Oh yah... Barbra well nuff said.

@RaspberrySwirl63 And yet it took Chris Colfer to put this song at at least twice the popularity that it was before he sang it.

Whether she's better than him or not is irrelevant (but she obviously is). The fact is songs become WAY more popular when they're on Glee whether people want them to be or not. Not only that, but it increases the popularity of the original song writers too. I know people who haven't even HEARD of Barbra Streisand before watching Glee. Now they love both (her at least).

As a singer, how can anyone dislike Barbra Streisand? With that magnificent voice, she can make just about any song beautiful and worth listening. And this song brings out her best.
