He seems pretty respectful, I will respect his opinion and perspective. What he and others dont address is the fact that with radio and television broadcasting and rotation, there is no way a child can avoid these messages and images, they are constantly bombarded by them. As for music calming someone down? Maybe, but gangster ass music inspires a gangster ass mentality and therefore some gangster ass actions. Agreed there is freedom of speech. That does not mean airwaves should be free tho

Do you see other races making music/videos so disrespectful and harmful to children and young people.

@Jellisist They dont push these people. These people (Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, Nikki Minaj, Kanye West, etc) WANT to have something they feel the public will never truly know about them. and anyway, its more about masons than anything. And we dont even know what our rituals mean, that's why we keep them secret.
oh, and the Rosa Crucians. check them out.... weird stuff. go to: itanimulli . com

its because the parents now adays are so ghetto

Completely irrelevant point. The kids were commenting on the disrespect that is conveyed by the lyrics. Plus, some poetic reference to drugs (if it even was one, which I don't think it was) is far different than blatantly promoting actual drugs. What 10-year-old would get influenced to do LSD after listening to a Beatles song - LOL!

This guy is completely missing the point... it's not *only* about keeping children away from it. Why does he think it's okay that older girls and woman are exposed to these disrespectful messages? It's not okay to spread such denigrating messages throughout our culture that results in lowering the self esteem of our sisters and mothers. We should be lifting each other up not tearing down our own people.

@MsFLgiggles It a bogus excuse to justify what one does by pointing the finger at someone else. It's like someone complaining about a speeding ticket by pointing out all the other people who are speeding. It doesn't make a person any less guilty because they aren't the only one to do something foul. Btw, the Bealtes did get flack for their song "LSD." So did Eric Clapton for his song "Cocaine," and so did Bob Dylan for his song "Everybody Must Get Stoned. But that's not the point.

My thing is that you can't protect your kids 100% of the time from 100% of the things out there...we go out in public and can't control what people do and in the same manner we can control what our children encounter and if it is alright for lil wayne and all the rappers and hip hoppers and everyone else who are entertaining the world with their various messages wholesome or not...why is it that these little girls can't sing their message without threats of violence

@werrkw true you cant protect your kids but atleast try to show them whats right and wrong but alot of parents are not even doing that much.
