Its like Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, the trailer makes it look like a fast moving action film, when in real life its not, as well as the trailer not featuring any words.
Anyway, about this film, you're american i really wouldnt expect the average american film goer to like this film, but i think "Great". hence a remake, a shot for shot remake!
and embrace the slow, its like complaining about a Chekov play, because it moves along too slowly.
Granted, people have a right to their opinions and I don't expect everybody to like the same things, but these two and the "American" mindset are precisely the reason why the director/producers of 'Let Me In' thought it would be a good idea to do a remake of the hauntingly beautiful and extraordinary 'Let The Right One In'. Judging by the trailers of 'LMI' I've seen, I imagine it will be the flashy, hyperactive disappointment I expect but I'm willing to be proven wrong. Time will tell.
I think its basically a proven fact that Americans have shorter attention spans than other nations. I would explain, but really I cant be bothered, and you would no doubt forget what the conversation was about half way through anyway. Good day to you.
People today are too into slasher horror where it's action every couple minutes. I actually felt the slow parts helped to build up to the gory action scenes. There were no real moments where I felt it was going so slowly that I had to get up and get myself a snack and come back when something good started to happen. This is why I'm afraid for the american remake, they're probably going to turn it into just another fast-paced, action-oriented, slasher flick.
Its Swedish, thats what you should expect!
