@ValarMorgoth Because he is my teacher. This is how i can say he is a sensei. How I can say he is 'more' than a sensei? He had a presence i have seen in few people. He gave so much to the art and yet remained humble. He spread his own learnings across the globe without selling out. And he was truly talented in what he did. Who is your teacher?

Very instructive video - thank you for posting it

Iwata learned directly from the 17th grandmaster of MJER Oe Masamichi, it is a great loss for the Iaido world, two loud claps for you Sensei, RIP.

@rottunpunk What do YOU mean ?
Who says that he is sensei or "more than sensei" ?
Based on what ?
Is praising someone a way for you to present yourself as being worthy or is it just a plain mental disorder ?

@ValarMorgoth what do you mean? This is Iwata Kenichi Norikazu. He is more than a sensei. Just look at his eyes, they are so powerful. It is a great loss now that he has passed away, but he was generous in his teaching so many can follow in his path.
