Boing Boing Gadgets editor Joel Johnson writes: The Philips Norelco Bodygroom ($50) is a shaver for men, specially tuned to the harmonic frequencies resonant with the hexagonal shafts of masculine hair for a shave that doesn't just cut your hair — it shatters it. (Or it's just a fancy double-edge electric clipper specifically marketed for men.) Either way I tried one on various bits of my body, including, I discovered to my horror after I had already uploaded the video to the BBtv crew, what was to end up to be my exposed cock. Thankfully due to the magic of editing you can enjoy my aimless rambling without getting a flash of the juniors, which have been replaced with the soothing softness of a harmless kitten. You can get an idea of how the Bodygroom works in the video, but here's a quick spoiler: I think the new Bodygroom is a pretty great, especially with the new attachments, although I don't know that it does a whole lot that you couldn't do with any other rechargeable clippers. Still, recommended.

@JonnyBones I ditched the BodyGroom in favor of a plain old three-blade and also a five-blade razor. Any brand will work well. I've been using the Gillette and also theSchick brands recently. The Schick is my new mainstay, as it is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper in price than the Gillette razors. All the razors I've tried, by the way, regardless of brand (except for bargain-basement generics, of course - which suck) are just as fast as the Bodygroom was, and they last longer and are cheaper.

You make any progress with this? I would kill for something that shaves my head easier. I just bought a 40's straight razor hopefully that works a little. I have a bodygroom pro here im considering trying out on my head.
