I can only imagine the evolutionary stages that this device has gone through! It's a very effective piece of equipment - especially, I would guess, in stronger winds. I've used a wire coat-hanger shaped into a small, inverted grapling iron (surprisingly effective and adaptable) on the other end of the throwline, but your BLG has a cleverer, more subtle approach. Congatulations on the outcome - I'm sure it's very satisfying.
Fancy, great idea, brilliant engineering design, but attaching a simple grapnel will work (New Tribe sells them)
