Introduction to Staging the Henrician Court - an interdisciplinary project drawing on performance, literary analysis and historical research - and particularly the website.
It forms an open invitation to the website which includes a professionally filmed performance of the politically-charged Tudor morality play The Play of the Weather by John Heywood, originally commissioned and performed for Henry VIII's court and performed in the Great Hall at Hampton Court Palace, London.
Through the Forum you can also see interviews with the production's Theatrical Director and Musical Director as well as the academic team discussions. We very much welcome input through the Forum from anyone interested in the project.
Looks like a fascinating project. I think there's much to be gained from practice-led research like this and will be sure to check out the film on your website
