SEDS UCF Test Hybrid rocket motor GTM 01 2(S) Burn

This is a video of a motor several students and I from the University of Central Florida have been working on in our spare time. We successfully test fired the motor with a planed 2 second burn on November 3 2008. The motor operated as expected, it worked. The Test was to see hoe the motor operated and how the grains eroded. Now we can tweak the design and proceed to the 5-second test than to the 10-second and finally to the max 15-second burn. The grains shod minimal erosion. However the max thrust of the motor was expected around 70 LB and only about 50 was achieved. This is most likely due to little mass flow rate through the nozzle.
