Talented Playwright, composer, Director, singer, he looked very boring on this show.

@mmbr01rrf You don't know much about life do you? Nor the human world for that matter! You belong to the large group of naive people that are easily blinded by ostentatious lies. Oh, and by the way, sorry for offending your "hero".

@Fixcan4U Don't know much about Preston's life do you ? I think the term "notorious womanizer" could VERY safely be use to describe him. I'm pretty sure the two were NOT friendly since Coward had seriously "dissed" The Music Man & Preston's legendary performance.

Since Noel Coward was a well known homosexual (a public secret at that time) I wonder why Robert Preston is kissing him, when Noel says goodbye to the panel. Was Preston another closet case? Just wondering.

@weightfeather1 He usually grew it longer, never saw it this short, I still say it's better than nothing. :D And he did manage to hang on to it until the day he died.

@maxreger100 Well put - he was a real gentleman and a great artist.

@weightfeather1 Amen to that. LOL

@UglyChileanDoorman Can't believe I'm getting into this debate but, the clockwise perspective is from where the TV cameras would be situated (i.e., the cameras would be at 12 o'clock). So Dorthy would be the first panelist.

It's ironic that Robert Preston should be on the panel this episode. According to his diary, Noel Coward intensely disliked 'The Music Man' and walked out after the first act! We all know and love 'Music Man" - who remembers "The Girl Who Came to Supper'?
WML was hands down the classiest half hour on television.

Dapper at all times, Coward was a unique, irreplaceable Englishman.
