Impeccabile, magnifico, un pianismo solido, perfettamente consapevole.

@Lukecash12 Not to be pedantic and meticulous with details that have little to do with your point, but I don't think Horowitz ever performed Rachmaninoff' 2nd Concerto
On the rest,I think that when considering such men of genius as michelangeli or horowitz, gould or sofronitsky, one can never say very little, if anything regarding their ways of expression that goes beyond subjective speculation, and let alone make such hazardous comparisons...

Your respect level is lacking....

i wouldn't say that. I just think this is the best performance ever, period. Obviously names like David Helgott, Alicia De Larrocha, Geoffry Tozer, Robert Hill, Marc Andre Hamelin, Glenn Gould (my god do I love Glenn Gould), Michaelangeli (He's amazing too).
The only thing that comes even remotely close for me is Micahelangeli's performance of the Bach/Busoni Ciaccona. Or Glenn Gould play the Bach Partitias.

@Lukecash12; yes, asuming only people who have been dead for 50 years know how to play the piano at a high level

This is actually my favorite performance ever. Not even Cutner's performance of Beethoven's Appassionata, Rubinstein's performance of Chopin's Grande Polonaise Brilliante, Horowitz's performances of Rach's 2nd & 3rd or Scriabin's Etude opus 42 no 5. This is the tippy top of the rollercoaster, my friends: You can only go down from here.

Софроницкий Он прославился интерпретацией произведений композиторов-романтиков, таких как Роберт Шуман, Сергей Рахманинов, а также сочинений Александра Скрябина, на старшей дочери которого, Елене, был женат.
