Jim Steinman promoting Rock & Roll Dreams Come Through for the Bad For Good album back in 1981. This video has been played with a bit and audio from the album is used. I like this version of Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through slightly more than Meat Loaf's take he did of it in the Bat Out of Hell II follow up to Bat 1.
backing vocals are unreal! massive

I have been looking for this version for almost thirty years. This is one of the greatest rock songs ever.

I absolutely loved this ending back in high school. I played it over and over. Loved the orchestra and thought it was clever how the beat just went forever. Noone else seemed to share in my amusement.

@nutballgazette You're welcome, my friend. BTW. to all you commenters, 'you're' is the proper way to contraction 'you are'. Have a great weekend!

@DaveWollenberg The arrangement is what makes this song so great. Thanks for the clarification

Rory hit #32 in Billboard, 8-15-81. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

@nutballgazette Actually, it was Rory Dodd, with a d. For some reason, I do like the acapella vocals at the end, that Jim arranged it.

I agree, This is the better version, However I just found out Steinman did not sing this, a guy named Rory Todd did the lead.
