A few years before he died, Letterman did a tribute similar to this. We're watching it, a lump forming in our throats as we reflected on the passing of such a character. All of a sudden, he walks on stage and yells at Letterman, "I'm not dead yet, you bastard!" Quite possibly the best skit I ever saw on Letterman.

@mightydyckerson - How do you know this? I went to his Wikipedia page and there is nothing there about the man. I often wondered if he was homosexual as he talked and acted very effeminate and lived in SF for many years. But at no time have I read that he was a pedophile (most of whom are hetero, btw). But if you have evidence it should be presented rather than making an accusation out of thin air.

@mightydyckerson Child..please. Run along now. No one needs to fear such a helpless little man as you.
-
@koxiesarmy I'll end YOU now if you don't shut your yapper. Heed my warning.
-
@mightydyckerson You're a necrophiliac? And a pedophile? End it now.

@koxiesarmy Your sister gives me all the help I need.

@mightydyckerson Wow, quite the coward. Your existence must be so troubled that you must post things like this I feel pity for you. Seek help, please. Your life will become darker and darker until you'll feel the need to end it.
His genius was not an act as he was just himself. Thanks Calvert

Calvert was just being himself. Unknown to many he was a genius moviebuff. He was my best friend's (RIP Lium O'Begly) best friend. We hung out together in the early 80's. I lost touch with Calvert when Lium died in 86, but always have a smile when I think back on those days. May Calvert keep the angels in stiches! He was a sweet, sweet man!
