This game isn't completely arcade. Just about 95% arcade, LOL. Just kidding, it's a nice game, but if you want sheer realism, try iRacing or Live For Speed, these are simply the most realistic simulators ever.

rFactor 95% arcade ?!? Lol mate, have you even try it ? Without aids of course. LFS is fine, but with very limited possibilities (few tracks and cars). Haven't try iRacing so maybe you're right about that one andyou have to pay for lot of things in iR. Still in rF you have hundreds of tracks and cars for free and simulation level is very decent. Go, try race with 30 human opponents in some league (lot of wreckers on public) with your favourite mod...

I gave it a try earlier today and make it in 7:48:xxx on Nord 24H version. So I reckon the short one would take slightly under 6 minutes. But 5:30 at this track with this car in rFactor is very unlikely to achieve for anyone.

Well, the headline is maybe missleading. I'm not certainly proud on time I did. This video i only for showcase purpose. I didn't know the track well that time but I've been racing there (on long version with new circuit) with GT1 Aston in Endurance series few months ago, so I know this track much better now.

@AceKarterReloaded are u 100% sure about that? From what I've seen from the simulator F1 uses it doesn't look much like rFactor in any way, except maybe for the poor graphics, if so. To me, LFS and iRacing are ages ahead of rFactor, in fact even the latest Simbin games such as GTR Evolution are way better than rFactor.

@PablosCZ I was never a big fan of rFactor, i know it has tons of good mods, it has real cars and tracks and all for free, but to me, the latest Simbin simulators are clearly ahead of rFactor1. That said, I've seen a couple of videos of rFactor2 including one in the rain and it looks very promising, but I don't expect it to be much better than Simbin's latest games such as Race 07, GTR Evolution and all the rest they've lauched so far (which is a lot).

@Ornqiraj what makes you say that? you mean in comparison with what? rFactor?? If so, u gotta be kidding. If you're referring to the fact that Live for Speed hasn't got real cars and tracks well, that's it's only flaw, because in terms of physics LFS is ages ahead of rFactor.

rFactor is a great simulator, who gives a shit about the graphics simulation wise its awesome, i won't be able to drive a car for a while, but with the g25 steering wheel i can use the f1 mods and just the normal cars with a 6 speed manual gear box or flappy paddle and it feels awesome :D
