Actually we should all stop using the "M" word (Marijuana), and start calling it hemp or cannabis for which it is. Marijuana is a slang made up word that they used to scare the people and get the competitive Hemp plant off of the market before it hurt large corporations, for they wanted to keep all of the money and not share the market with better products.(Hemp) Big corporations will go go no extent to make sure that their profits of billions are not interfered with. @keithbu This is only a beginning, get involved, get the facts, educate yourself and others on all three aspects of the plant. Including: Industrial Hemp, Medical Hemp, and recreational hemp (for personal use). It is a package deal, all three have to be legalized together to make it work. We have some heavy political and medical debates ahead of us.

@starfawnoni yes i know hemp is great but im interested in the THC part if you know what i mean. i have severe depression so its not i get high for no reason, also i hate pills.

@keithbu If you want the THC then you have to legalize the whole plant to get what you want out of it. Even if you do not care about the other uses for the plant, I have worked for the california marijuana initative, and the Marijuana reform league, and we found out that we have to do it as a pakage deal to get our right to smoke it. That way you have the hemp industry and the medical behind you to back you.

@keithbu hey, you are right, WE fought the government twice back in the 70's for the right to smoke, whether it be for recreational use, or for medical use. I mean it sure is better than prozac, and a lot safer. I just get mad because of those few rich selfish people that were only looking out for their money and gain, back in the 30's, made a crime out of something that was no crime, and made criminals out of people who committed no crime.We have the same right to smoke as the beer drinker

Marijuana is classified wrong. MArijuana has medical value. Marijuana is non toxic, MArijuana does not have to be smoked. MArijuana is part of our nation. Marijuana is given a bad name and peoples lives are ruined because of jail time.. because they are made felons unable to enjoy rights a non violent citizen should..and because of the large fines no matter thje amount of marijuana.. IT HAS TO STOP NOW! how many more prisons and jail can we build and still sleep well?

I agree legalize it......and this is coming from someone who is in chronic pain, on pain meds and who recently had an epidural injection in my neck. I am also a mother to four, so no I am not just a teen wanting to get high. Not legalizing it would be incredibly stupid!! Alcohol, cigarettes.....ummmm hello???
