I did a presentation on drug legalization, and proceeded to be attacked by the entire class, including the teacher.

Very good points. I commend you on staying calm. Unfortunately the educational system in the United States limits individual thought. The teacher tried to intimidate you and the class followed like sheep. Your way of thinking is not tolerated in a high school setting because it goes against the status quo. You will be acknowledged a lot more in college. You're on the right track.

I like what the hippies in Christiania, Kobenhavn did, they said " if it need any chemical process it, don't bring it here, they had weed, shrooms and such, but when hells angels came and tried to take over and bring hard drugs, they chased them out. it took them three days to sum up the courage, cause the angels were packing heat.

nice try, but, eh, what do you expect? no matter how articulate you are, no matter how well stated your points are, in a place like your school, this type of unpopular view will never be accepted. your teacher and your classmates will never take you seriously and completely ignore your arguments.
