From 5'30, we can see Keith using the crescendo and also that some divisions are excluded from this crescendo (using the tablets under the desk) as you can hear the Posthorn clearly above the rest (playing with the Pedal divide I guess).

Originally composed for 22 brass instruments and timpani, it was transcribed by Strauss for a big orchestra. Reger did the organ transcription.

Seeing this brings back great memories! Thanks for posting!
Was he using the pedal divide at the end to play that solo trumpet line with his right foot? I didn't see him thumbing down to play it, so I'm not sure how he did it except for playing it in the pedals.
