  • ur not firing full powder rownds are u?

  • @awstrali yes - military surplus ammo - full power

  • @mini4m3 Thats not what he meant. Shooting modern ammo with heavy bullets (more than 150gr) is hard on the op rod. Shooting Mk.2 Ball military surplus, or reloaded ammo made to Mk.2 Ball specs is the best way to get the most out of your M1. That or get an adjustable gas plug. If you want to bend your op rod up, then shooting full power modern factory ammo with a heavy bullet seated will do the trick. I have a Springfield Armory M1 Garand made in 1941. Very important to preserve history.

  • @NormanMatchem Its hard to infer that from the user's comment. However, you are somewhat correct in your thought. Its not the heavy weight of the modern ammo but its actually the burn rate of the powders that damages the op-rod.

  • Blank rounds.

  • these are 30-06 HXP surplus not blanks

  • @hardraynesgonnafall First, probably because the sounds of the gun drowned it out. Notice how it sounds like a tiny pop gun, when it definitely is nothing of the sort. Second, it's entirely possible that the clip he is using is a replica, made from something different. The Garand only cares that it's the same shape. I use only original clips, and I get that awesome *PING* every time. Totally worth the $8-ish for ammo every time.

  • @crispexv2 how come his never made the ping than?

  • Great. Now I have to try that. So much for all that surplus ammo I just bought.

  • @hardraynesgonnafall Huh. My Garand has no issue making that awesome PING noise... as the clip ejects. Every time. It has nothing to do with gravity.

  • Thats a hella fast trigger finger!

  • @xXMarine007Xx You aren't really a marine are you ?

  • no ping :(

  • @LennMacca93 that ping is the spent strip clip casing hitting the ground when it ejects

  • aw i really like to hear the "ping" but its RL so............just play fps games

  • @mini4m3 that bullets songs gay
