I remember when the 1972 Kawasaki triples came out, some of the magazine staffers didn't like the new tail design but I thought that was the best feature which the H1 didn't have. When the all new 1973 model came out, I loved the lime green color but didn't like graphics which looked like an afterthought compared to the '72 style so I even considered buying the H1 but put the '72 F9 graphics. Now I have the KH500 with an extra '72 H1 tank and a matching '72 S2 style tail. I am finally happy.
