I like flipper because in a sense they are esstianlly a pop band, they have some very catchy repetitive basslines. But there version of pop music is a twisted, brooding, mangled jet engine like sound that knocks you on your ass. They were on there own island, and still to this day no one sounds like them, they blew the lid off of the notion of what could be considered music. What a beautiful mess they left us

I think this was the night Will broke the bass and had to borrow Genesis P-Orridge's,, right? They were opening for Throbbing Gristle. Anyway, this is possibly one of the starkest, sickening songs they've ever written and easily one of my favorites. A shame it never actually made it onto an actual LP, think it would have been perfect for Gone Fishin'

One thing I like about Flipper is that you could get a beer any time without being afraid of missing anything in the meantime :-) But I love it!
