Always interesting. Wikipedia states "Brooke fell heavily in love several times with both men and women, although his bisexuality was edited out of his life by his first literary executor. MANY MORE PEOPLE WERE IN LOVE WITH HIM (emphasis mine). Brooke was romantically involved with actress Cathleen Nesbitt... best-remembered by Americans for her role as Agatha Morley on the TV series The Farmer's Daughter from 1963 to 1966, playing the mother of a Congressman...." @sam199166 Does it really matter if he died in action or not in action? What is clear, is that he was prepared to make, and did make, the ultimate sacrifice in the service of the country he cared so deeply for. It's also worth noting Rupert Brooke enlisted in the armed forces, he was a volunteer, not a conscript. The sacrifice of ALL British and allied soldiers will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Rupert.

Really liked Brookes poetry, looking for `these things l loved` old enough to actually relate to much, gas lamp, rough blanket, thanks for posting it.

well presented and i enjoyed it alot. I have recommended to friends who wish to know about Brooke,his search for the ideal and his constant disappointment in not finding it.
