hay I don't model in o scale, so i was wondering with such a beautiful layout, with exquisite detail. Why the three rails instead of the much more realistic two rail, is there some advantage to using it?

Thank you for the kind comments. I use 3 rail track for several reasons. First is that I already had a lot of 3 rail engines to start off with, 2nd is that there is much more motive power to choose from in 3 rail than 2 rail and lastly operationally it is easier to wire up electrically plus the extra outside rail lets you use it for signal blocks etc.
