this version is better than Gentleman's Pact imo
-
yeah but there is a difference is the creative forces behind those band commander venus (ie tim kasher) is a totally different thing than conor oberst, go listen to soundtrack to my movie or water and yeah this does sound alot like bright eyes.

loving this. Seeing the mystic valley band in august
-
August 5th this song will NOT be on it (cryin shame I say) here are the songs that will: "Cape Canaveral" "Sausalito" "Get-Well-Cards" "Leaders in the Temple (Ruben's Song)" "Danny Callahan" "I Don't Want To Die (In the Hospital)" "Eagle on a Pole" "Moab" "NYC-Gone, Gone" "Valle Mistico" "Souled" "Milk Thistle"
-
what do you mean what is the difference
this sounds different from bright eyes.
this is like, the ONLY song i like out of his new ones i've heard so far.
-
you spelled desa wrong by the way.
-
for sure. but what is the first thing you think of when they come into your head. i'm sure its not mike mogis or anyone else. bright eyes has changed their sound so many times but its never been anymore than conor's writing
-
uhhh have u even listened to commander venus...or despericidos for that matter...
-
i would have to say, no matter what conor oberst does...whether bright eyes or "the mystic valley band" its going to be conor oberst no matter what. this does sound a lot more like early bright eyes stuff. its pretty good

yes, this is a live show. Not available anywhere apart from we who have the recordings. These are from 2008.
