  • i have this exact dryer and i know the video is old but as im writing this

my dryer just now starting giving off like burned rubber smell like a vacuum sucks up a wire. Any help

  • @DR1BLESS Give me a call. i need a bit more info. My phone number is on my website. Thanks, James.

  • The videos were really good. I still have a question. The timer is working but when we push the start button, the dryer is still not working. Any advice?

    Kenmore model # 110.60602990

  • @vplopez100 Check the motor fuse on the blower housing. If the motor is humming when you push the start button, check the blower wheel area. If that is clear, change out the motor.

    Hope this helps, James.

  • Thanks for posting this tutorial. This is what the internet is best at, sharing helpful information. I was able to diagnose that the heating element was broken. Cost less than $30 to fix. Saved me hundreds! All the best to you and yours this holiday season!

  • I just bought a used Kenmore 70 series. I've changed the Electrical cord for a new one, but the wires color in the dryer is different than my cord, I have from left to right White, black, red , so I matched all the colors and trip the breaker. So how should I connect this dryer ? is White my Hot ?

  • @DIYAPPLIANCEREPAIR cant find your number sorry...

well i check to see if the dryer still had the problem and its on the lowest heat and i when i opened it felt like i had just opened an oven at its highest heat... it spins like it always has, no weird or different sound. just the burning smell and very hot heat

  • This is my first attempt to repair any appliance. Your very informative videos not only helped me fix my problem, it showed me how everything on a dryer works. I learned a lot and saved money. THANKYOU

  • @DIYAPPLIANCEREPAIR have a Kenmore Elite. None of the auto cycles work I have use the manual cycles to get the dryer to complete a cycle. When I use the auto cycles the dryer shuts off after a few minutes. any clue on what would cause this problem.

  • Very well done! I replaced my daughter's faulty dryer heating element with very little trouble and a very small expense. The only difficulty was the clips that retain the lower front panel -- they weren't clearly shown; I wasn't familiar with this type and didn't know exactly how to release them, but this was a very minor thing. The rest of the video series was right on and made me look like a Pro.

  • Hello, from Woodstock, CT USA - This was exactly what I was looking for and then I viewed all the other Kenmore repair videos... perfect. I replaced my dryer timer in 10 minutes and bookmarked the site for the time when I need to replace the belt and heater coil. Great Job on these videos.

    Thanks so much!

  • Aloha from Hawaii! Thank you very much for creating these videos. I really appreciate the help. My problem: I smell a dead rat in the dryer and I want to locate and remove the filthy little carcass myself. I don't want to pay someone $100 to do it for me. One question though: Where do you think I should start looking for the rat? Perhaps in the exhaust duct? I'm dreading taking the entire machine apart and not being able to find the dead rodent. Any ideas? Thank you very much!!!
