I only have one. I know they are supposed to leive in pairs or groups, but the other one we hade died of cancer... It was 1 December.

@lifeextract as long as it doesnt have sugar. thats the death for degus. one of mine got blind. im not sure from what..might be some food.

Only saying what the doctor told me...
He said that you better don't feed animals like hamsters, guinnea pigs and rabbits walnuts. But maybe degu's are an exeption..
Could be, they are a lot different then usual pets =P
How did you get them so calm? Mine were hyperactive and they tried to bite holes out of the cage and stuff !!

You really don't want to feed them walnuts. They can have any nuts but those!! My degu's died from walnuts. I don't know why, they just did =P
