Ty Hallock on the Lions 0-16 football season

Former Detroit Lions running back Ty Hallock joined us in the studio for "Sports Overtime" to talk about the record breaking end to an awful season, and what lies ahead for the Lions.

In case you hadn't heard...The Detroit Lions now own a distinction no team wants: worst in NFL history.

Facing one last chance to avoid their dubious destiny, the Lions lost their season finale game to the Green Bay Packers to complete the league's first 0-16 season. The 1976 expansion Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-14) were the last NFL team to complete a season without a victory.

Have the Lions won a playoff game in the last 25 years, serious question? As a Vikings fan, I can't say I'm happy with watching my team lose playoff games but in reality, I'm not sure what's worse, having been there a shitload of times and lost, or never having been there. What was it 90 or 91 when the Lions won the division. I was sure they'd make it to the bowl that year. I think the skins blew em out in the first playoff game.

at leats they won a couple. but itl be a LONG time b4 they become an elite team like the giants ,patriots, saints .etc

I think the team has showed some flashes this season. They need to get more consistant at quarterback. I think Stafford is the guy at quarterback. In this year's draft, I'd bet they draft mostly offensive and defensive lineman and defensive backs. That's where their really lacking. They have a quarterback, rb, wr, Lb's. Now this draft they get the rest. They do have a few good DL...Avril, Hunter, Hill is pretty good. They need a good DT.
