@The1KidsShowFan7 Jog on, they don't transmit a thing (unless to a bluetooth device). It RECEIVES the signal sent from satellites to Earth. Planes use GPS too.

why was he plannig a route. YOu woul donly be able to use in guidance mode.

The1KidsShowFan7, You are WRONG! GPS Navigation systems are NOT transmitters and ARE allowed on airplanes. Watch my video with my TomTom on an airplane and read the description. I scanned and posted the page of "approved electronic devices"
