@NLterror6000, correctimento! but that won't help you in the example above since the parking break is separated from the main caliper and won't have any help of you breaking no matter what.
And even if they would share shoes in the same caliper it would be smart to use it anyhow since the arm that moves the piston will get stuck over time by not being used.
