Heathrow is now a terrible airport for spotting. Way back in the 60's they had brilliant facilities on the Queens Building with several tiers to observe from - all for a very small charge. At one period they even gave a running live commentry explaining all arrivals and departures. Spent many happy hours there in those days.
Ah, nostalgia. Its not what it used to be - its a thing of the past!!!!

I have 1 question: is Heathrow a good airport to spot? Because me and my dad are planning a spotting trip, and we don't really know where to go... Some help would be appreciated ;-)

@florbor007 It's not the best airport in the world to spot at. You can get some good tips from the Airport Guide section of plane-mad(dot)com. If you have any specific questions after looking at that, please let me know.

@asafscher I usually love trees, but the Heathrow trees are my nemesis.

Great Video! I'm looking forward to their All Black's 777 coming to Air New Zealand in January! Will be one of the best special liveries around IMO!

@phantomworks23 I'm looking forward to that one too. It'll be very unique and will stand out from the rest.
