Super 16mm. released in 2010, Mark Morris wrote and directed Evil of the Vampires, A short film set in a world of criminal vampires. Anne is ten years old when she saves her fathers soul after he is bitten by a Vampire.
Twenty five Years later...Anne now married to Jack who believes her Father is dead and she has imagined it all. Furthermore he blames Jenny, their daughter for the death of their son. Jenny's anger spills out from her hopeless situation into a nasty revenge on her father.
Only one person can save them now and he's dead.
Evil of the Vampires was shot at the end of the summer of 2009 and completed 2010.
The story is in part about the decline of society and how many of us are out of touch even within our own community and loosely based on my experiences as a Taxi proprietor and our so called broken society. A world where drugs alcohol and violence can be the norm. It's not to much of a stretch to imagine Vampire gangs growing and invisible to our normal society.
"I wanted it to be a big glossy dynamic but short movie that would have a human story to move the audience. I had 17 minutes to do it. This is my calling card to show what I could do with little money. It's bigger brother screenplay expands greatly on this and my biggest hope is to appeal to investors for a major motion picture in the works.
