@halo6534 Yeah I see what you mean. Since I only play multiplayer, I'm all for 90's shooters. So much better than the Halo's and CoD's we have now for online play. Roll on Quake 5/Doom 4 I say! At least id are still creating good game engines I suppose.

@purebaldness Dude doom 3 and RAGE as some of the most generic boring, unispired first person shooters ever made. There so unoriginal and just plain gay. ID is living in the 90's to much there game design is stuck in the 90's. People want more from a game then just if it shoots moves. Game needs to have some sort of story. And ID delivers on none of those. They dont live by gaming standards. Like i said there stuck in the past, and thats why there not famous anymore.

I don't know about this game really. I'm only on the fourth or fifth level and I'm already kind of bored. The basic mechanics of the gameplay are fine and work well, but the atmosphere is a bit bland to be honest. "Things go boo in the dark" isn't what makes a game scary, and so far that's pretty much all DOOM 3 has been.

Thats because doom 3 looks "modern" but gameplay is pretty much old school.
