Yeah but like The PS3s 8 cores may be clocked at 3.2ghz but that doesnt mean its as powerful as a 8-core 3.2ghz from intel or AMD

or u go f ur self im a intel user too ;)... i like using the intel atom in my netbook and no over clocking and it is fine rendering 3d animations / movies / aobe after efffects shit. so ha ! btw i dont use ps3 i just know sum lf the specs and the ps3 processer is a cell one made by sony 360 uses ppc

The Cell Processor in the PS3 (Which is 7 Cores running at 2.3 GHz per core) Is a Power PC Prosessor.

The PowerPC was better, and in my opinion it still is. However, the future PowerPC processor is not suitable inside a personal computer. That's why they transitioned.

Some people say that PPCs are actually ace at video editing; there was an instance that a Christian congregation (forgot the name though) was asking for a Mac on TV, probably a pre-Intel one since it was several years ago when I watched it...
