@rockawaylife because reading is fucking boring compared to smoking weed and playing videogames, and eating, and excercising, and sleeping, and painting, and just about anything else that exists besides punching yourself in the dick time and time again.

??? Nick didn't go home with Mr Mckee. He wakes up after drinking a lot still in the place with Myrtle and Tom and the others in the city and then Nick takes an early train home. Also, Daisy is never able to say she never loved Tom. This summary was pretty bad overall, no summary could really do the novel justice. Honestly I usually don't enjoy books I have to read for school, but Gatsby is amazing, give it a chance.

Nick isn't gay. Critics who explicate that he is simply have some political agenda to gain society's acceptance of faggots, as Nick is a moral and personable character.

Why does everyone think that Nick is gay? It's obvious that the other guy is loaded and that only HE is in his underpants. Nick leaves and ends up waiting at the train station for the earliest train all morning.
