this review was so boring and made the game look so tiring. this guy sounds like he doesnt even give a shit. ign makes this game seem like a beautiful fun puzzle game. gamespot makes it look like "oh a puzzle game.... yeah i shifted.... fun"

That is probably the worst argument when it comes to opinions on games and the industry. If we follow your reasoning, you are not entitled to have your own opinion either. After that statement I am guessing you are giving up on this discussion. I have never said we should attack him. When Fish desided to respond to his hater he should at least desided to respond with something other than "suck my dick. choke on it". You HAVE to agree that that is a childish statement and makes him stand out as an idiot. The problem isn't really that he responded, but the way he responded(although he could have avoided responding at all).

I am sorry I judged you, but my point is that this game isn't as challenging as most games where back in the 8-bit era. The only similarities Fez has with old games are the graphics. Nobody should listen to the major game reviewers, they are usually biased and often paid to give a game a good score. You are entitled to have your own opinion, but I only see this game as a platforming puzzler with a 3D "gimmick", and that is why I don't see the reason this game get som much praise.

Ok, so your reasoning is that, somebody hated and deliberately attacked Fish, and by responding he showed that bad comments could affect him and bring him down (wich is true for everybody, you denying it or not), so yeah we should all attack him since now we know he isn't trying to convey he is on a superior level than everyone else (wich some people say he does, and attack him for it), he doesn't deserve respect because of 1 comment. Ok then.

The point of my comment was that "old games" were challenging, and not a cake walk hiding behind cinematic moments, lasting an average of roughly 6-10 hours (if that), and Major game reviewers are forgetting that fact. do you disagree? If I'me labeled as a "wannabe hipster" by some random person on you-tube, simply because I enjoy the older generation gaming. than yes, I'me listening to The Black Keys with my Fedora and non-prescription glasses.

Even if he doesn't need to care about his potential customers, it is still immature to tell someone to choke on his dick. He sank as low as the person that hated on him and his game. He showed that the comments had an impact on him, when he should have ignored him and walk away as the better man. The person that trash talked about Fish craved attention, and that is exactly what Fish gave him. The reason Fish acted unproffesional is because he didn't know the "correct" way to respond to haters.

Yes, the industries that are only concerned about taking your money. When you are an employee you are instructed to be polite to virtually everyone, because some people will get offended by just about anything, and that would make you lose buyers. A lot of indie devs don't need to worry about it, because it's not about the profit, people who like your game will play it, and those who don't won't, and if you can live with the money you get from that then it's ok. It doesn't make you immature.
