  • A beautiful picture from La Stupenda!

    Wooow.

Lets say this, Beatrice was a wonderfull part for her.

I have the recording from her debut in New York, the day her mother had died!

Its diffrent from the studio recording, more lived...can I say?:-s

But this is the way TRUE Belcanto needs to be sung.

    Sparkling as ever!

Pitty she stopped singing this, rather early in the carreer.

But then, so many gems came after!!!!

    Brava La Stupenda.

  • This is so brilliant it's ridiculous. There will never be another voice as incredible.

  • Mi piace molto Beatrice di Tenda, tanto da annoverarla tra i capolavori belliniani, anche se ritenuta " minore " rispetto ad altre opere più famose.Cantata poi dalla meravigliosa Joan.

  • @highbaritone

Yes, she tried several colors in the 50's....including blonde and black. Richard liked the red best and asked her to leave it that way. She did for quite some time.

  • grande Joan

    queen of belcanto...farewell

    thanks

  • su canto embriaga y te lleva al extasis total.es interpretado y sufrido.transmite ese dolor que todos llevamos dentro.que lleva la bandera de la verdad y de la libertad del espiritu

  • She is perfection of vocal technic!

  • This was during her first seasons of Lucia and believe me when I tell you she had already changed her hair color in person and on stage and the red looked great. Don't ever remember it orange, but then maybe you are a friend of hers.

  • It was brown.

  • I have news for you her hair here was already red.
