Cantar Lontano and Marco Mencoboni rehearsing "Domine ad Adjuvandum" by Claudio Monteverdi in the Basilica Palatina of Santa Barbara, Mantua. Monteverdi's Vespers were probably conceived for this church and performed there for the first time in 1610. This rehearsal was in preparation for the big concert Cantar Lontano held on 4 December 2009, recorded and released on CD by E lucevan le stelle records (2SACD). You can see the great Antegnati organ of Monteverdi's time, which was used for the concert and the recording, while the performers are playing and singing from the five balconies of the Basilica.
