Anunapurna has reputation of being dangerous but for sure K2 is much more difficult !!!

As for siting specific references, plz don't tell me that 'cos everybody can type any

good web source & read many of the things in my posted comments .

Anybody f.i. can search & listen to Reinhold Messner ( reputed the greatest climber ever ) or poor Karl Unterchircher ( who I had the honour of meeting 3 years ago with my CAI goup in Val Gardena ) to get informed on which one is most difficult to climb, K2 or Annapurna ...!

For mountain stats , they mean little and majority of them are totally misunderstood by many people : who's among K2 èlite climbers knows that perfectly !

The Annapurna has that high death toll only 'cos of its changing weather conditions, but technically has not even 50% of all the unbelievable technic difficulties of K2 , any average good climber can climb Annapurnaif he's lucky enough, being lucky is only 40% of what a climber needs to climb K2, he needs of a further 60% of extraordinary climbing abilities !

I repeat : ask any even mediocre climber in your country and he will confirm.

And those who climbed Annapurna are nearly 6000 , 'cos it's easier than Nanga Parbat beyond any death toll, due to the inhuman weather conditions.

good climbers can get on Annapurna top, only the best & the luckiest among best climbers can get the top of K2, the Mountain of Mountains.

Try to get a little smarter, if your little brain allows that to you : when I say 200 people climbed K2 , I deliberately write an approximate number, the same for when I write 6000 or 3000 , but I know much better than you that the exact number is 249 !!!
