Ugh, I don't care what the cost is to cast or perform it, I hate one hit kills in -any- videogame, I almost sold Skies of Arkadia because of my frustrations with enemies casting eterni(and eternis.. and eternum). It's just so cheap.

On a different note I'm playing this game for the first time along with you, and am stuck fighting Valsu. The difficulty jump between him and these spiders in the catacombs is ridiculous.

@IceHedge Yes one hit kills are annoying. Thankfully harps block Vacuum so can avoid it for the most part. Haha I had that same problem in Skies. Really? I'm honored. The only advice I can give you is to stop gaining levels and fight him as you are. Every time you level up he does too, one of the worst parts of the US version of this game. Use B Powers and Protects and try to take him out in the first few turns. Heal up only when necessary and attack as much as possible. Good luck!
