Kinetic artwork by Will French. A perfect collision of industrial and domestic see's the engine of a Honda CB250 motorcycle power a Juki industrial sewing machine. The petrol powered sewing machine sews in four different gears and is controlled by foot pedals (gas and clutch) allowing the artist to rev the stiches out. The strait cut exhausts occasionally shoot flame, yet it sews smoother than a regular machine. The piece was fabricated in Sydney for exhibition in 2008. The concept and work art the copyright of the artist.

  • Ugh, too loud. Inventive but meh.

  • bike sound

  • very cool but the noise?

  • Now that is pretty cool. Not very practical nor quiet, but cool nonetheless! I much prefer bicycle pedal powered Singer industrial.
