By the looks of it i would say that he blew a the right or left rear tire, which caused him to immediately lose traction on the rear end. He was propably shaken pretty good in those barrel roll flips, so he wanted to make sure that he was out of harms way, that's why he jumped behind the guard rail so quickly.

Dangers of a gravel trap. They are totally ineffective. Cars if they go in side ways would dig in and flip as in the video
