  • for all of you complaining, let's imagine Keeth got the touch instead. the Russains would of nullified the point for the same reason USA did. If you want to blame anyone, blame the director for not seeing it in time. and it isn't like soccer, video recordings can change a director's decision.

  • actually when you get a touch you do all you can to keep it, especially if it is as pivotal as that touch. nobody would nullify their own touch

  • Unbelievable, you can see that Keeth continues to fence regardless of one of the Russians saying stop. The American's definitely didn't deserve that win!

  • keeth worked very hard for this win and did an exceptional job of performing touches that he knew the director was calling. he definitely deserved this win

  • why the touch at 4:48 wasn't validate? i don't understand... :-|

  • keeth went off the strip earlier in the touch and yakimenko jumped up and tried to stop the touch. when he realized pozdniakov got the touch he stopped yelling stop and started celebrating with the rest of the russians. what keeth is saying was "he said stop". then there is a replay and they found that keeth was off the strip. really lucky for the americans

  • Oh and for all who are arguing about this point. It is simple Keeth stepped of the strip the referee caught this and so did the camera and upon review it was determined by the head referee that Pozdniakov's touch should be annulled because of the halt that was called earlier for Keeth stepping off the strip. Personally I do not see why the guy panicked in making his call.

  • This bout made me want to cry tears of anxiety, and then tears of joy! In my opinion one of the greatest moments of the Olympic games!

  • I live in the USA, and I fence in the USA. But, seriously....this Russian defeat is so, so sad. No wonder Pozdniakov isn't fencing anymore. Man... :(

I've got nothing against our USA team, but anyone can see that the Russians really deserved that win.

  • nice punch at 10:05

  • At an exhibition in Atlanta hosted by Atlanta Fencers' Club and Cherokee Fencers' Club, Tim Morehouse told everyone the story of how when Smart ran up to hug the rest of the team, he was already unconscious. The cameras actually capture him lying on the floor.

  • OMG Jeff Bukantz!!! =D
