I used to fix myself a strong gin & tonic and put this record on just before i went on a 3 day bender on my own. I had a little gray bunny named Shadow. She was 6 weeks old. She died this weekend after being sick and I tried *so* hard to save her. The last morning when she was looking really ill, I cuddled her and sang this song to her while I was crying because I knew she wasn't going to make it. Her grave marker says "My Shadow". Hearing this song doesn't make me sad so much as it reminds me what a sweet, friendly little bunny I had. Thanks for posting.

This was the song me and my dad used to sing in the car together when i was younger we would have our own verse each used to be a laugh because we both loved that song then when i was 13 he died and i know he will always be my shadow and i will never forget the times in the car singing this

When I was a kid, my daddy had a 4-CD Frank Sinatra song collection and this was on it. He'd play this song all the time because I told him it was my favorite song. It was the first song I learned by heart, and I sang it/played it so often that my daddy would call me his shadow. And now as an adult, it's going to be my father/daughter dance. :)
