Marching song from 1940 by Günter Joachim (Paul Przetak, 1890-1958). Performed by the Band of the Berlin-Gatow Airbase Command under captain Arno Kühn; the uncredited singers are the Metropol Vocalists (Wilfried Sommer, Günter Leider, Peter Purand, Richard Westermeyer and Kurt Bangert). Recorded in Berlin, 1940.

Description: German soldiers' (cavalry) love song, also known as "Das Lied vom treuen Soldaten" (The Song of a Faithful Soldier). It originally has six strophes; 1st and 2nd strophe recorded.

Note: mono recording, from my 78rpm record collection; not to be used for commercial or propaganda purposes.

Other known recordings of this song:
1940 Quartet & Band of the Air-Signal Regiment CinC-AF under E. Kiesant

Thank you for your comment. I'm glad to read that this nice old-school soldiers' love song was still remembered in the BW in the '90s.
