I had a private tour of this site and also have almost an identical video that I made myself. The archeologist that runs the dig told me the exact same thing you heard in this video.
I suspect that King Solomon may actually be responsible for this disobedience to the warning he got in 1 Kings 11:6-10. At least that is what I was told.

It's pronounced ah-rod. Can you tell me exactly where this is, because I've seen this video a lot but have no clue where this is. I live in Arad.

LDS apologists at FAIR use the Arad temple and another on Elephantine island in the Nile as evidence that devout Israelites were perfectly comfortable building temples outside of Jerusalem (even 200 years after Hezekiah's religious reforms). The tie-in is that emigrated Israelites, population ~22, somewhere in America would be perfectly happy to build a replica of Solomon's temple when they arrived (minus the finer things).
They forgot to mention how Arad had a second altar to another god...
This is Tel Arad National Park on Road 31 north of the Tel Arad Junction about 10 km west of modern Arad or northwest of the modern city of Arad. Does this sound correct ?

This is very little justification for the sweeping statements made in this movie. The two tablets which the narrator considers as idols represented tthe Tablets of the Law - the Ten Commandments. The layout of the temple was precisely the same as that of the Temple of Jerusalem and the Temple of Arad was not a pagan site but a regional temple which remained orthodox. Josiah was the Henry VIII of Judaism and sought to bring religion under his direct political control - nothing more.

OK. But, how do you know this? Are you making assumptions or do you have support? Not to argue, but (1) Why were there two altars if there were not two deities, (2) Why were there two altars if it "was precisely the same as that of the Temple of Jerusalem? (3) Why does the Bible record Hezekiah and Josiah destroying shrines like this outside of Jerusalem? (4) Why does the Bible condemn these shrines. Why does the Law of Moses requires all sacrifice be in Jerusalem (continued)

(continued) . . . (5) If tryskelly is correct then why don't the Jews resume their sacrifices here or at a location in Europe or North America today? Why are they waiting for the temple to be restored?
Because this was a deviant worship center that had left the truth of the Law of Moses and embraced Pagan rituals and practices . . . (like a lot of churches today)
