  • @powereater That's right cos Chinese law that was made just after Taiwan threatened break away from China some years ago when pro-independence president was elected. (Taiwan is still legally Chinese sovereignty terrority despite having ruled by Nationalists) forbid any break aways from China.

The law also covers HK and Macau and HK people know this and they want to keep their SAR status otherwise China will send PLA in and suspend basic rights if future threats of breakaway occurs.

  • @nextstep333 Violated the Basic law in HK? I don't see anything wrong - PLA kept in barracks, protests allowed, all is quiet, Arrests made by HKP not Chinese police. prisoners well treated. There's no mistreatment of protests. Appeals allowed in courts o flaw.

I see no violation by Chinese forces so what the problem?

  • A great weird cartoon that I have never ever seen

  • Deng told Thatcher that China was not gonna renew the "lease" AND WAS NOT OBLIGATED TO RENEW THE "LEASE" and britain had no choice in the matter and if britain didn't meet it's obligation to relinquish control then China would simply send troops across the border and there wasn't a damn thing britain could do about. The supposed "iron lady" Thatcher realized the reality of what Deng stated and negotiate for the best "return" of Hong Kong that would leave some pride for the british.

  • @nextstep333 you are of course dreaming. the assumption that the PRC will fall is flawed in it self because eventually does not take into account the changes that will take place during those time. as for hong kong remember that one city does not pose a threat to the central government and there would be very little to gain from taking away hong kong's civil liberties.

  • @powereater The Republic of China is pro-unification but it will not lose the name ROC. The PRC will eventually fall down, as for Hong Kong, the mainland has not always guaranteed it 50 years of Autonomy. The Mainland has violated the Basic Law in Hong Kong.

  • @nextstep333 probably not, as taiwan will be rejoing the mainland soon there will be no point, i think hong kongers dont wana lose their SAR status.

  • You want propaganda, look in the mirror and this video.

  • every bullshit of urs is full of propaganda
