My school recently adopted a new policy, "no household appliances in your office", after a teacher in another school burnt the toast in her toaster TWICE in one day, both times causing the fire alarms to go off. I've had a microwave, bar fridge and expresso machine in my office for years, and there is no way I was going to go without them, so I hid them with boxes etc around the office. I feel like James Bond when I go to make a coffee and pull the expresso machine out of the filing cabinet =.=

This really does sum up teaching perfectly.

Hi Miss.

Okay. You're creative. I'm creative. You like Doctor Who and Father Ted. So do I. I can't say I'm into chickens but I DO like hedgehogs. We're roughly the same age, and if I post any more messages asking you out on a date, I'm officially going to be 'creepy', so this will have to be the last one. I'm thinking of a moonlit bus ride to a romantic Burger King I know. A chocolate milkshake with 2 straws. I'll even pay! That's the kind of guy you're dealing with.I'm even on Youtube! Carpe' Diem!

I wouldn't mind you teaching me :) I'm guessing you're a design teacher?

@Schutzenegl1 Most likely, yes. You should see Office Space. It's a catchphrase from that movie.

@egopellote Ironic, isn't it?

@panzerveps typically it is caused by an optical sensor being clogged with tiny bits of paper.

Ist das die Bayrische Verfassung bei 2:38?
Very curious about how many pupils when there are 140 teachers. :-)

Why do you want to speak with british ascent? You will sound like Noel Gallagher and I Can´t understand a work he says.

Hi Astrid!
A few of my friends are teachers...and (if I may remember correctly) may it be possible, that the points you mentioned are only the tip of the iceberg? We sat together on summer evenings, drank a lot of red wine (A lot of red wine always helps. Always.) and chatted about things they hate at especially the german school system.
Your video was rather diplomatic, wasn't it?

@MrDonkrypton The points I mentioned are what annoys me most in the daily struggle. I obviously didn't mention any of the obstacles put in our way by the ministery of education and, rarely, my school. Like every teacher, I would have a thing or two to say about that, but to be completely honest, this is the stuff I need to block out, otherwise the anger and the frustration will get the best of me. :/
