yes, the heads are ported, compression ratio was 11.3:1. I was running premium with some race gas mixed in. I was going to run 16's but the set I had was to rusted and couldnt be fixed.

engine sounds nice... did you do any headwork to those 670s? How high is your compression? I have a 455 with 1969 #16 heads and run dished pistons to keep compression around 9.2.

they only made them from 1967-1969. They were only put into heavy cars, such as the grand prix. the gto, firebird, tempest didnt get them. their power ranged from 370hp-390hp from the factory, they also share the same design as the 400 so all the parts (heads, cam, intake etc..) is innerchangable. as well as any pontiac engine from 326-455.
now thats muscle to me,lol! awesome ride you had I see you said you sold this one, but man what beauty to have! I don't think I could of parted with it!

@RANS87IROCZ I did sell it, but I know where it is...maybe ill buy the motor back someday and put it in a third gen :D

@79TAGio nah, sold it, i might buy the motor back someday, this was my first car, bought it for 2500 when i was in 8th grade, had a 200hp 400ci pontiac engine, i threw this built 428 in there.
